general rambling again
Well, I left off with something about wanting to share stories about diseases I've gotten so far in Guinea, such as amoebas, giardia, but after careful deliberation, I've decided that there are few differences between these two diseases and that probably no one cares to read about my exciting bowel movements. So, you'll forgive the absence of those anecdotes. I will, however, continue to keep a list of diseases I've contracted and disclose details as requested.
The new stage, G12 is here, and my goodness, it is good not to be the new guy. They just had their site visit so we are all in Kankan and we had a welcoming party for them- a White Trash Trailer Bash (& Ghetto friends). It was a good time, and they are now all properly informed of how we roll in Kankan. I personally got to open a barber shop before the party and with the help of the house electric clippers gave 6 styled mullets, including 2 to G12ers. Hoorah.
I am in good health now, and the most exciting news is that my parents are flying me home for Christmas for 3 weeks! Mom and Dad rule. I hope to see as many of you as possible on my visit.
Sorry I'm not much for news about my site- I've been traveling alot recently and still haven't quite back into the swing of things. Mamadou Bah had left for vacation when I got back from IST, and so did most of Dinguiraye. The chicken firm bank presentation is progressing, and so is the marketing brochure for solar cookers.
I plan on traveling to Maliville in mid September for Potato Fete to see if the Fouta can party like Haute, long live peace corps "culture days" that don't count against vacation.
Oops, out of time, miss you all!
